Compliance documentation

Which certification documents should be checked for a PV module project?

Build a destination-specific photovoltaic module document checklist without assuming one certificate covers every project.

Short answer

Certification review starts with the destination, application and contracting requirements. Identify the required standards and evidence, then verify certificate holder, product scope, model coverage, validity and issuing body against the exact proposed module.

Compliance documentation

Define the requirement first

Codes, tenders, utilities, financiers, insurers and customers may request different evidence. Create the requirement list before checking the supplier package.

Match the certificate scope

Confirm manufacturer or certificate holder, factory where relevant, series, model, standard edition, annexes and validity. A logo or certificate title alone is not enough.

Keep evidence with the submittal

Store certificates, reports or declarations with the technical submission and record open deviations. Translation or local registration requirements should be confirmed for the destination.

A certificate-to-model coverage register

A certificate image and its model annex must be reviewed together.

Issuer and holder
Issuer / certificate number exactly as printed / legal holder / production site when listed / authoritative lookup and review date.
Scope and annex
Standard and edition / model syntax / covered power bins / product construction / attached annex pages. A similar prefix or older power range is not enough.
Current evidence
Issue date / printed expiry / surveillance conditions / renewal or current issuer status. An expired displayed file does not by itself prove the company's qualification has lapsed.

Register template only. Referenced standards describe test or construction scope; they are not proof that a Sunhorn model is certified.
